Restaurant gets polished concrete flooring in Harrison, Arkansas amid COVID-19 pandemic. It was actually a nice change of pace from our normal construction sites. We had the building to ourselves, making it easy to keep our distance.
A properly polished restaurant floor has much to offer. Ease of maintenance being the biggest advantage by a long shot. Restaurants enjoy polished concrete floors since they’re easy to clean, and patrons enjoy polished concrete floors in restaurants because they can tell how clean a floor actually is.
Polishing concrete is this particular restaurant was a great experience for the Glossy Floors team. The restaurant was already closing down because of the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping across our Great Nation. The owners decided to remodel while the restaurant was closed.
While most restaurant floors are easy enough to polish, this one had its twists and turns. The floor had massive crazing (Non-structural, minor surface cracks). We had to apply two grout coats before we could even begin to see the level of shine we expected.
Once the grout coats were complete, the remaining polish went rather smooth! No pun intended.
As you can tell from the pictures below, the polished concrete restaurant floor turned out very nice.
