Having Polished concrete floors in a church is one of the single best investments you can make. While the Glossy Floors crew always has fun when we install polished concrete floors, it’s especially fun when we get to polish concrete floors in a familiar place. Our home church.
The change was extremely dramatic!
Before we started on the polished concrete floors, we had to repair more than 100 holes that were left in the floor as a result of another company removing the tile that used to be there. While there are many ways to remove tile, hitting it with a crowbar isn’t the best idea.
The church has been around since 1994, so the concrete isn’t very old. It was, however, pretty soft. Once the polished concrete floors were completed, it was almost like having the full strength of a brand new concrete slab.
We’ve worked with some pretty old floors before, but nothing that couldn’t be turned into something beautiful.
We always get 2 logos when we’re staining just in case on of them gets damaged for some reason. Since the logo went on beautifully the first time, Mrs. Glossy thought it would be a good idea to put the extra logo by the back door. Turned out to be an excellent idea! The area has always been a little plain and now it seems to have a little pizazz to it.
