Using Nightfall B-715 on a recent commercial Epoxy Flake Floor, Glossy Floors traveled to Madison, Wisconsin for one of our long-time customers.
The existing floor had many different types of material, and our customers wanted a more uniform appearance for their store.
Once the existing tile, carpet, and ceramic time was removed, the Glossy Floors team started making the many repairs necessary for creating a seamless floor. Before we arrived on site, a construction crew was busy removing a few interior walls which meant we had lots of holes to fill in where the wall studs used to be.
We used Crack Repair FX from Epoxy FX to make sure the holes were soundly repaired. We like adding sand in the mix as it helps give it the necessary strength.
This particular floor was roughly 3,000 square feet and took 4 days to complete. As always, once the repairs were made, we used Base Coat 93 FX and broadcast Nightfall B-715 flakes into the epoxy. We topped the floor off with two coats of our Poly FX 90, a 90% solids Polyaspartic Polyurea. This epoxy flake floor sealer is as tough as nails! We use it on all of our commercial epoxy flake floors.
This was our first time using this particular flake, Nightfall B-715, and I have to admit, it turned out absolutely beautiful!
The Wisconsin weather makes for lots of mud being tracked inside and the Nightfall B-715 flakes seem to mask much of that dirt.
